EXPLOSION SOFT is bonded with a significantly softer sponge. The resulting increase in the contact time of the ball on the racket provides noticeably more control, both in the passive area (service reception, push, block ball) and in the active game (counter ball, shot).
This new variant still offers a very good compromise between control, attacking possibilities and disruptive effect.
Despite the very soft touch, EXPLOSION SOFT is a fast rubber that allows a penetrating game when used offensively and is surprisingly easy to play overall.
The all-round characteristics of the original EXPLOSION version have been retained, so that this new, soft version EXPLOSION SOFT can be described as an all-purpose weapon with short pimples.
The thinner sponge thicknesses (1.2/1.5/1.8mm) offer more control and disruptive effect. With thicker sponge the rubber becomes faster but produces slightly less disruptive effect.
